3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Flap Disc 1169F is a long-lasting, versatile abrasive disc that includes all the advantages you expect from a flap disc, including conformability and ease of use with a lower risk of gouging. Featuring 3M Precision-Shaped Grain (now re-engineered with curved sides) and a durable polyester backing, on carbon steel 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Flap Disc 1169F delivers up to 49% more total material removed compared to the 3M™ Cubitron™ II Flap Disc 969F 40+ grade and up to 66% compared to 3M™ Flap Disc 769F 40+ grit. It holds up strong for medium to high-pressure applications like beveling, weld grinding, deburring, and working on edges and contours. Plus, it leaves a finish that makes it a great choice for applications like blending and surface prep. 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Flap Disc 1169F features the new proprietary 3M Precision-Shaped Grain now re-engineered with curved sides design that continually fractures into sharp points that slice cleanly through metal, unlike traditional abrasives which tend to plow through the substrate. This fracturing helps the 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Flap Disc 1169F last extremely long and maintain a high cut-rate over the life of the disc.

Tech Tip: In many cases, 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Flap Disc 1169F will allow you to grind and finish in one step, without changing abrasives. This is because, under normal conditions, 1169F will generate a finish that is one grade finer than a fiber disc of the same grade. While a fiber disc will cut faster, this flap disc can eliminate steps and disc change-outs to help save you time.
