3M™ Double Coated Tape 9492MP stands up under tough conditions yet provides stability and handles easily during processing. This double coated tape features a thin .5 mil black polyester film carrier coated on both sides with 3M™ Adhesive 200MP, excellent for graphics, nameplates and LED lens attachment. A 58-lb. PCK liner adds stability for efficient processing.
An Easy-to-Process Tape for Tough Applications
3M™ Double Coated Tape 9492MP is a 2.5 mil PET tape. This tape features a .5 mil polyester film carrier which delivers excellent handling during processing such as slitting, die-cutting and laminating. It is coated on each side with 1 mil of 3M™ Adhesive 200MP, known as the industry standard for applications such as nameplate and graphic attachment. This adhesive delivers excellent shear strength as well as exceptional temperature and chemical resistance for tough environments.
A 4 mil, 58-lb. polycoated kraft liner adds stability for efficient processing such as die-cutting.

About 3M’s High Performance Acrylic Adhesive 200MP
3M™ Laminating Adhesive 200MP is an industry standard for graphic attachment and general industrial joining applications. It features outstanding adhesion to metal, polycarbonate (PC), ABS and polyester (PET), making it popular across many industries. This adhesive provides some initial repositionability for placement accuracy when bonding to plastics. It also performs well after exposure to humidity and hot/cold cycles, providing confidence that the switch will perform through difficult environmental conditions and millions of actuations.
About Double Coated Tape
In general, double coated tape is composed of a paper, film or tissue carrier that is coated on both sides with pressure sensitive adhesive. The adhesive is protected by a peel-away liner that can be removed at the time of application or left in place until the joining surfaces are ready to be attached.
