Day or night, rain or shine, 3M Raised Pavement Markers can help enhance the visibility of center lines, edge and gore lines, ramp and specialty applications. These durable markers are designed to remain highly visible even on rain covered roadways. They also create an audible rumble when struck by tires that alerts drivers when they veer out of their lane. The Markers, shown in a study conducted by the Transportation Research Board to reduce crashes by up to 24% on two-lane roads , include wet and dry retroreflectivity, long-term nighttime visibility and is available in white, yellow, red, blue, or green.
The Markers have been designed to be applied directly to pavement surfaces and are compatible with commercially available bitumen and epoxy adhesives. Please note that when using a commercial-grade adhesive it must be approved by 3M prior to use or the warranty will voided. The use of any other type of adhesive should be thoroughly evaluated prior to any large-scale application. Some 3M markers are fitted with pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) pads. To use Markers with PSA pads, a liner is removed from the adhesive pad on the bottom of the Marker before it is placed onto the road surface. 3M Raised Pavement Markers are unique, easy-to-apply road safety devices specifically engineered to help drivers in low light road conditions.
Constructed of engineered thermoplastic, these markings can withstand heavy moving loads and still retain a safety edge. The welded lens helps 3M Raised Pavement Markings perform reliably in wet weather conditions. While it can be easily affixed, enabling faster execution over long road stretches. The “rumble” effect provides tactile and audible warnings to alert inattentive drivers of lane departures.
