The channel pattern is replicated onto the Safety-Walk™ adhesive and allows air to be released to the edge of the traction material when pressure is applied.

They resist wrinkling, curling, tearing, shrinking, and lifting. The anti-slip (referred to by some as non-slip) tapes and treads cost effectively help meet OSHA guidelines and ADA coefficient of friction requirements. 3M™ Safety Walk™ Slip Resistant General-Purpose Tapes and Treads 610 are designed to meet United States Military Performance Specification for non-skid coating systems (MIL PRF 24667 C).
