3M™ Tapered Spindle Mount Adapter is an abrasive accessory that helps operators fasten 2″ to 3″ diameter Scotch-Brite™ Bristle Discs to bench motors with tapered spindle shafts. Once these accessories are properly installed, a bench motor designed for heavy-duty deburring and grinding is transformed into a polishing and finishing system.

Maintenance and Assembly
The 1/16″ to 1/2″ wide adapter has a threaded attachment type. This locks the bristle disc to the tapered spindle shaft with some simple twists. Industrial professionals will start by removing outer guards from the bench motor and attaching the tapered spindle to the shaft. The 3M™ Tapered Spindle Mount Adapter threads through the bristle disc’s center hole and attaches to the tapered spindle on the bench motor. Once all parts are secure and locked in place, operators are ready to get to work.
