3M™ Microfinishing PSA Film Disc 268L features 30 micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral, bonded to a durable polyester film backing, to produce a fast cut-rate and uniform finish on wood, solid surface composites, metals, plastic and fiberglass.

Flexible and Tear-Resistant

This Microfinishing PSA Film Disc is a resin-bonded disc that has great flexibility and won’t sacrifice durability and reliable performance. The polyester film backing also flexes to help achieve a consistent finish over contours. Additionally the PSA offers greater tear-resistance than comparable paper products, making it ideal for high-production environments.

Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) for Easy Attachment

We included pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) in our 3M™ Microfinishing PSA Film Disc 268L for easy attachment to abrasive tools. The PSA backing holds the disc securely in place during use. Additionally, the PSA removes cleanly from the backup pad (sold separately). A new uncontaminated surface for the next sheet or disc is created. Designed for use with orbital and random orbital sanders, this disc comes in a range of micron grades for complete multi-step sanding and finishing. The polyester backing on is also water resistant, so the disc may be run wet if desired. Adding a lubricant like water can help minimize build up.
