3M™ Perfect-it™ Foam Polishing Pad is a soft foam buffing pad used to buff out fine scratches created from compounding steps. The waffle face gives you greater surface contact area than flat surface pads over contoured surfaces, minimizes heat buildup during buffing and helps eliminate swirl marks. It also helps the pad hold the polish and reduce slinging. This allows for ease of polishing.
For best results, use it with 3M™ Perfect-it™ EX machine polish and the product will quickly remove compounding swirls. Use the polishing pad with electric variable speed polishers or pneumatic polishers in order to produce your desired final finish. The pad’s waffle face provides a smooth contact surface, which allows for even handling over curves without excessive heat build up. This feature is imperative when you have a lot of buffing to do. The soft surface easily applies the 3M polishes.
