- Great for badges, nameplates, emblems, lightweight moldings, door edge trim, wheel lip molding and luggage rack slats
- Thin 0.76 mm tape gives streamlined flush appearance for lightweight auto moldings and trim
- Use of adhesion promoter recommended for tape-to-part adhesion on plastic parts
Great for permanent attachment of lighter moldings, trims, nameplates and emblems, 3M Automotive Attachment Tape 06378 is built with a 0.76 mm viscoelastic foam core that provides a blend of strength and conformability for a flush, professional appearance, even across long applications such as door edge moldings. It is engineered for stress relaxation when exposed to high stress loads, and maintains bond-line aesthetics under normal stress loads. A durable acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied to both sides of the foam core, and delivers high peel performance and shear strength as well as resistance to plasticizers. This adhesive provides good wet-out properties across a full 7/8 in. width for reliable application of wider parts. A red liner provides easy one-piece release for efficient application.
The gray-colored tape blends well with automotive surfaces for a smooth appearance.
