Cloth Sanding Roll
3M Cloth Roll 370DZ is best suited for wood or metal sanding thanks to its durability and fast cutting abrasive material. Its heavy, y-weight cotton cloth backing provides smooth operation and durability for consistent finishing. The abrasive side features an open coat for even finishing.
Aluminum Oxide Abrasive
Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used for sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for use on a wide variety of materials in metal and woodworking.
Load Resistant Design
3M Cloth Roll 370DZ also uses a synthetic resin bond which is specially designed to resist thermal deterioration, which can occur during sanding. This bond is very tough and allows for fast sanding and a high cut rate. This makes it excellent for precision work on both hard and soft surfaces. This roll also features an anti-static treatment and open coat construction. Open coat construction leaves space between the abrasive grains to help evacuate sawdust and other sanding debris and avoid clogging the cutting edge of the grains. This allows the roll to continue cutting even when sanding materials that would otherwise clog the grain and hinder sanding ability.
