A Tough Tape Even for Refined Projects 3M designed the 3M Impact Stripping Tape 528 to cut easily, smoothly and cleanly, making it ideal for masking and surface protection during dry media blast paint removal, as well as other blasting applications. With its stand-out color and thick backing, the tape helps ensure greater visibility during removal. The tapes acrylic adhesive provides a strong bond on many surfaces including metal, glass, wood and many plastics. The adhesive, along with the rubber backing provide clean, one piece removal with minimal clean-up.
