The wheel used to generate the flute which is the helical or straight groove in the body of the tool. The 3M CBN Polyimide Wheel 184PN line uses a hybrid bond system which offers increased thermal stability compared to other bond systems. This allows 184PN to grind at higher cut rates and maintain form under higher temperature grinding conditions where phenolic bond systems undergo thermal and chemical deterioration.
