Torch Flame Resistant Barrier TFRB-SE3
- Can be combined with flame retardant 3M VHB Tape or double coated tape (DCT) for adhesion to a surface
- Good dielectric strength
- High temperature and flame resistant up to 1000°C (1832°F) for at least 10 minutes
- Inorganic-based paper reinforced for improved mechanical properties on one or both sides
Intended for electric vehicle applications, 3M Torch Flame Resistant Barrier SE Series can help provide under battery pack lid, cell vent path, and certain other battery component protection in the event of cell venting or thermal runaway scenarios. 3M offers two tiers of 3M Torch Flame Resistant Barrier (TFRB) depending on customer design requirements. TFRB-SE1 is an assymmetrical product utilizing a single-sided reinforcing layer for a more cost effective solution. TFRB-SE3 adds a second layer of mechanical reinforcement to create a symmetrical product with additional barrier strength for more demanding applications.
