Constructed with an extremely conformable backing, 3M Polyethylene Tape 480 is designed to be used in general repair, patching and splicing of polyethylene sheeting. 3M VHB Tape 4941 is a double-sided tape comprised of a multi-purpose acrylic adhesive with a conformable, foam core backed on a 3 mil thick 54# densified kraft paper liner, delivering a total thickness of 45 mil (1.1 mm) when applied. For anodizing, composite bonding and splicing, use 3M Polyester Tape 8403. This translucent green tinted tape is coated with a silicone adhesive that bonds well on difficult surfaces, including silicone coated papers and films. It is chemical resistant and performs under a wide range of temperatures and environments. This tape is a thicker version of 3M Polyester Tape 8402.

3M Squeak Reduction Tape 5430 is a transparent UHMW polyethylene film tape with an acrylic adhesive. It is commonly used to control squeaks and rattles due to vibration or wear of metal and plastic parts.
