1-Hour Ducting Fire Protection in Wood Frame Construction 3M Fire Barrier Dryer Ventilation Wrap was created for the particular challenge of providing a single-layer 1-hour fire-resistive enclosure around ventilation ductwork that runs through wood frame construction. The strong material is designed for easy installation: lightweight so it’s easy to carry and flexible so it’s easy to manipulate and install around ducting. This wrap system delivers 1-hour Fire and Temperature Ratings for dryer, bathroom and domestic kitchen ventilation ductwork, fits tight spaces and can lay directly on supporting beams and other wood construction. It contains no asbestos, reducing the amount of equipment workers need to carry and wear. This wrap has been tested to ASTM E2816 Condition B.
