- Micro-replicated cerium oxide delivers high gloss, crisp reflection, richer appearance
- 3M™ Trizact™ abrasives start sharp and stay sharp, resulting in more predictable finishes and improved, consistent results
- Adhesive-backed discs easily peel off from the roll for quick handling and minimal downtime
- Use wet for glass defect repair and solid surface finishing
3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc Roll 568XA utilizes micro-replicated cerium oxide uniformly distributed across a 3-mil film backing to create a high gloss on glass, and solid surfaces. Use 568XA film discs wet. Pressure sensitive adhesive backing in disc roll form makes handling and attachment easy.
Finish and Repair Sensitive Surfaces
Designed with Trizact micro-replicated cerium oxide, 568XA ensures a fast, consistent cut rate that easily removes defects such as scuffs, scratches and acid marks on table glass, airplane windscreens and windows, architectural glass and other solid surfaces. The film backing is water resistant and requires little water for touch-up, minimizing mess and processing steps.
Convenient PSA Disc Rolls Minimize Downtime
The 3M™ Trizact™ PSA Film Disc Roll 568XA provides multiple adhesive-backed discs on a single roll of liner. This makes them easy to peel off one at a time, efficient to store and economical. The pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the back
s is quick and simple to use – simply press the disc onto the backup pad and you’re ready to go. They remove just as cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc
About Cerium Oxide
Cerium oxide is an oxide of the rare earth metal, cerium. The average grain size of the particle is measured in nanometers in raw form, thus making it one of the most effective abrasives for final polishing steps on solid surfaces. It is heat resistant and effective as a polishing agent for glass mirrors, plate glass, crystal, ophthalmic lenses, precision optics and precious and semiprecious stone
Ongoing sharp cutting action contributes to higher throughput, more uniform results and greater productivity.
Polishes and Leaves Glass Crystal Clear
Use 3M™ Trizact™ 568XA discs for a final polish. First, wet the surface slightly with a small amount of water. As you polish, the mineral “pyramids” will break down to form a slurry-like solution. The polishing action that occurs will remove scratches left by previous leveling steps.
For acrylic-filled solid surfaces, use 568XA damp as a final step to attain a high-gloss finish.
Remove silica coatings (anti-glare and static) and fluoric acid spots in a single step with 568XA.
