- Works in demanding conditions including autoclave cycles up to 350°F (177°C)
Effective Tape in High Temperature Applications
3M™ Polyester Tape 876 has a thin, high strength polyester film backing with a green rubber-based adhesive. It is designed to be used in high temperature applications including holding TC wires and vacuum bagging materials during autoclave composite bonding processes. In addition to holding securely, this tape removes easily from stainless steel, aluminum and glass. The high temperature, non-silicone adhesive also makes it ideal for paint masking in liquid or powder coat paint processes, or where subsequent painting or bonding is required. This tape is a thicker version of 3M™ Polyester Tape 875.
Recommended Applications
- Temporary holding of TC wires and vacuum bagging materials
- Use as a flashbreaker to mask edges of non-primed and non-anodized overlap seams
- Masking parts for high temperature painting and powder coat painting
