Economical, Reliable, High Temperature Powder Coat Masking
With temperatures rising in powder coat paint operations, customers require a masking tape that can take the heat. Specifically designed for higher temp powder coat paint applications, 3M™ Polyimide Tape 8997 features a 1.0 mil thick polyimide backing with silicone adhesive. It is ideal for use in high temperature applications up to 500°F/260°C. Its light amber color ensures easy identification and alignment. The high dimensional and tensile strength of this polyimide tape allows it to break through cured paint without silvering or tearing.
